Position Overview

We’re looking for a Senior .NET Developer to join our growing team in Kathmandu. In this key role, you’ll design and develop scalable web and core business applications that support Verisk’s data-driven solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global team of experts and contribute to impactful, high-performance systems in a cloud-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement high-performance APIs and software libraries.

  • Build scalable, resilient systems in an AWS environment.

  • Participate in all phases of the Agile software development lifecycle.

  • Collaborate with product teams to understand and refine requirements.

  • Optimize code and infrastructure to improve system performance.

  • Stay current with industry trends and integrate new technologies as appropriate.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with a focus on quality and performance.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with .NET technologies.

  • Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET MVC, Windows Forms.

  • Strong experience building RESTful and SOAP-based web services.

  • Hands-on with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular 6+, AngularJS, and jQuery.

  • Solid front-end knowledge: HTML/HTML5, XML, CSS/CSS3.

  • Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).

  • Experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS).

  • Familiarity with SharePoint and Word add-ins is a plus.

  • Strong grasp of object-oriented programming and design patterns.

  • Proven skills in debugging, code optimization, and refactoring.

  • Experience with Git, Agile methodologies, and tools like Jira.

  • Knowledge of automated unit testing (XUnit/NUnit) and CI/CD practices.

  • Exposure to DevOps tools like Bamboo, Octopus, and Docker is a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience engaging with business stakeholders and translating requirements into technical solutions.
